Seven die in road separate mishaps Hyderabad, Jan 30 (INN): At least seven persons were killed and two others injured in two separate road mishaps that occurred in the state on Sunday. According to Tirimalayapalem Sub-Inspector Ramulu, five persons were killed on the spot when a gas tanker and a car collided near a petrol bunk in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Ramulu identified the victims as Reddybojana Satyanarayana (30), Mahesh (21), Renuka (18), Ramulamma (51). They were all members of the same family. The other fatality in the accident was of the car driver K Venkateswarlu (23). All the deceased hailed from Mamilagudem in Khammam district. According to police, the car was heading towards Hyderabad from Khammam via Warangal and the gas tanker was heading towards Warangal from Khammam. Tirimalayapalem police have registered a case.
In another mishap, two persons were killed when a trolley carrying iron rods collided with a Swaraj Mazda van near Borrapalem in Gandepalli in East Godavari district on Friday. Gandepalli Sub-Inspector V Krishna revealed that the deceased have been identified as T Venkateswarlu (46) hailing from Ch Agraharam, Ganapavaram in West Godavari district and K Eswar Rao (30) from Kottur in Anakapalli. The bodies have been shifted to Government General Hospital in Rajahmundry for post-mortem. Gandepalli SI V Krishna Registered a case.
