Vikram Jangam is now TLCA President New York: Vikram Reddy Jangam became the President of Telugu Literary and Cultural Association (TLCA), the First Telugu Association in the North America. Vikram Reddy sent a message to the Telugus living in the greater New York area on Sunday promising his commitment to the community. In his note, he said "we assure you that 2011 will be an amazing year for TLCA. There are a lot of new ideas and efforts to expand our activities and meet the needs of our Telugu community in the Tristate.".
"We are planning to conduct Business seminars, which will be beneficial and productive for our community. Tax Seminars, which will be helpful for Estate Plan, Tax laws, exemptions, and reporting requirements.
Immigration Seminars which are beneficial to the new immigrants and students. Job Fairs, which will be equally helpful to the youth, students and other sections of the community members.
We welcome your innovative ideas, opinions, expertise and knowledge to improve our activities.. This will take time and effort, but I promise we will definitely make a beginning, taking it one step at a time.
We will be communicating and updating you periodically through emails and also through our website www.tlca.com. I request you to check the website from time to time for the latest updates. We are in the process of constantly updating our website and make it more interactive.
We will be able to make all the dreams possible only with active participation and support. Any organization is as strong as its membership. If you have any friends or acquaintances in the Tristate, please urge them to become life members.
We need your strong support and encouragement. The strength of TLCA lies in the strength of the Telugu community as a whole, and I have great hopes that everyone will participate in one way or another. Youth and children are the future of any society and as parents please involve them in all TLCA activities.
I once again convey my heartfelt thanks for providing me the opportunity to serve you as President of this Greatest Organization. I consider this a great opportunity to use my skills, talents, and abilities to benefit the Telugu people here in Trisate.
