Dowry harassment drives woman to suicide Hyderabad, Jan 31 (INN): A woman committed suicide due to harassment of her in laws under the Chatrinaka police station limits. According to Inspector N Shyam Prasad Rao, the victim has been identified as G Bhavani (21), wife of G Harishankar, a resident of Vinayak Nagar, Lalithabagh. Bhavani married one and half year back and her parents had given Rs 10 lakh and household articles at the time of her marriage.
The couple does not have children and due to this her mother-in-law, father-in-law, husband and sister-in-law used to harass her mentally and physically. Since last few months, the husband demanding additional dowry. Vexed with the harassment, Bhavani on Sunday night poured kerosene and set ablaze herself. She died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital. Police registered a case under Section 498A and 306 IPC.

Hyderabad, Jan 31 (INN): An employee died in road accident under the KPHB police station limits. According to Inspector N Narsimha Reddy, the victim has been identified as B Ravinder (44), a resident of Bapuji Nagar, Musheerabad. He died when a motorcycle hit him while he was crossing the road at KPHB. Police registered a case under Section 304A and body was shifted to Gandhi hospital for postmortem.
Train mows down car driver
Hyderabad, Jan 31 (INN): A car driver died while crossing tracks between Lalaguda and Malkajgiri under the Secunderabad railway police station limits on sunday. According to Sub inspector Khader Shareef, the victim has been identified as V Narsimhulu,a resident of Tukaramgate, Lalaguda, Secunderabad. Police registered a case under Section 174 CRPC and the body was shifted to Gandhi hospital for postmortem.
Man kills self after tiff with wife
Hyderabad, Jan 31 (INN): A man committed suicide after a quarrel with his wife under the Market police station limits. According to Inspector Vinod Kumar, the victim has been identified as S Mallesh (30) a resident of Sambaiaya Murthy Nagar. On Monday morning, Mallesh committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan at his residence. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and body was shifted to Gandhi hospital for postmortem.
3 women among 9 burglars nabbed
Hyderabad, Jan 31 (INN): Seven notorious house burglars and two vehicle lifters arrested by Cyberabad police and recovered property rupees 31.60 lakh. Three of the accused are women. According to the Cyberabad Police commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Cyberabad police arrested seven notorious house burglars and two vehicle lifters and recovered property worth Rs 31.60 lakh approximately, which includes (74.5) tolas of gold, (35) tolas of silver and one car, 22 motorcycles, four cell phones and electronic goods from them.
The seven were identified as Pallapu Somesh, Pallapu Ramulu, Kothuru Srinivas, Hathagalla Roma, Londe Jamuna, K Parameshwari and Farooq Khan. The vehicle lifters have been identified as Kommu Shekar and Chavli Sandeep Kumar.
