NUTANA to unite all Telugu Associations of North America New Jersey, USA: While many of the Telugu people in North America wanted to start a new Telugu Association or trying to split one of the existing organisation, a new group of people wanted to put a full stop for this and asking every single Telugu Association to join hands for the benefit of Telugus in North America. The new group calls itself as NUTANA or National United Telugu Associations Of North America.
The founders of the new group said that they are going to start a website for the group shortly. Meanwhile, they started a group on facebook to interact among themselves and to invite people who are interested.
The founders described the group as a USA based, Telugu NRI's voluntery group, committed to raise a collective voice in demand / request of unity among different Telugu Associations of America. If you want to know more details and like to be part of the group, please join us at www.nutana.org (coming soon). They said that they are framing the exact agenda and goals but mentioned few of them in a draft format.
1. Let there not be any of the major Telugu associations like TANA, ATA, NATS, ATA etc held conferences conflicting each other on the same day (July 4th week end).
2. Let us have One united national Telugu american association creating a merger of all.
3. Let all Telugu associations come together and held one MEGA Telugu conference every year.
4. While our intention is not to become another cornered and mushroomed Telugu association, if deemed necessary we will operate locally and individually.
5. We are not here to favor or pin fault any organization or a group or an individual.
6. We believe its every ones right to start and run as many organisations as they want, what so ever are the reasons. We do not want to make arguments on that and as long as it does not impact the Telugu NRI's in any way, we like to respect their civilized rights..
7. If the goals are not achieved within the set time frame, just because there is no enough interest and cooperation among the current major organizations to join their forces, and this group becomes much stonger and gains more memberships than any of those organizations, at your own interest you may want to boycott the national level conferences held by those associations.
Few hundreds of people already joined the NUTANA facebook group.
