62nd Republic Day Celebrated by TCA


 
Sunnyvale, CA: India's 62nd Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and gala festivities by Telangana Cultural Association at Athidhi Indian Restaurant in Sunnyvale, California, USA.

The celebration was chaired by the honorable CEO Advisor & Coach Mr.Prasad Kaipa , co-chaired by mayor of the Milpitas City Mr Jose 'Joe' Esteves, and special guest invitee Mr.Narendra Pathak Library Board of Supervisors for Santa Clara County.

Bhaskar Maddi, Vice president of Telangana Cultural Association welcomed the huge gathering and invited Chief Guest Dr. Prasad Kaipa to light the lamp. Dr. Kaipa lit the lamp at the picture of Mahatma Gandhi and was accompanied in by TCA ex-chairman Vijay Chavva, current TCA President Saideesh Ajjan and guest invitee Kalyan Raman.

Dr. Prasad Kaipa spoke about the Six principles from Indian Wisdom on being a leader in complex times. He explained how these six principles can be used by leaders towards the success of their endeavors and organizations. Dr. Kaipa speech was heard very attentively and was well received by the huge gathering. Guest invitee Kalyan Raman followed Dr. Kaipa speech by talking about NRI's Roles/Achievements in America and India.

Vijay Chavva, ex-chairman and current Advisory Committee member of TCA enthusiastically introduced the new executive committee to the audience. The new committee will have a tenure of two years in office to serve the Telugu community.

Saideesh Kumar Ajjan President of TCA explained the purpose and objectives of TCA, and talked about the various plans and programs of the organization aimed at educating children, promoting and preserving culture, encouraging arts, and helping social causes.

There was wide spread response to the patriotic song sung by Arshad Hussain, Cultural Secretary of TCA. The melodious rendering of the song by Arshad Hussain got some people in the audience to be emotional and nostalgic about India, Telangana and the country back home. The famous Perini dance master G. Ramesh enthralled and awed the audience with his Shiva Thandavam performance. The audience was very excited to see this ancient and traditional dance form. The dance was followed by a piano performance by Baby Akanksha Maddi, 'Bharatamataku jaijailu' song by Baby Soham Indarapu, ''Tenela Thetala matalatho' song by Hamsini Ajjan and Soham Indarapu. The huge gathering of diverse audience: kids, senior citizens, men, women, professionals, and sponsors all participated eagerly in all the festivities. Kids did an amazing performance right from the starting of the event until the end with National anthem. The "American National Anthem" was sung by Shravya Chavva and Uma Chinthalapati. Sai Manapragada who is GUINNESS WORLD RECORD(TM) holder for singing a song in 265 languages sung 'Telangana Folk song' along with Srinivas Manapragada.

Raju Yasala, Jt.Seceratary of TCA, played a patriotic video song while kids walked in the costumes of various Indian freedom fighters.

Vasvi Technologies Corporation an e-verified company, Kelly Katz State Farm Insurance Agency, Chandu (Chandrakala) Siramdas Realtor of Timothy Crofton Real Estate, Amar, Realtor, CDPE of Keller Williams ,Palo Alto and Jaspinder (Jazzy) Singh(VP) who is SR MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER of BOA served as sponsors of this event.

Telangana Cultural Association team Prasad Gattu, Buchanna Gajula, Subash Ravada, Bhaskar Maddi, Bhaskar Bandikallu, Raju Yasala, Baleshwar Indarapu, Srinivas Gujja, Chandrakala Siramdas and Jogi Naidu(Joe) presented token of gratitude to sponsors, guest speakers and chief guest.

TCA treasurer Baleshwar Indarapu thanked the gathering, guests, and performers for their participation and making the occasion memorable. Biksham Palabindela, Advisory Committee Chairman and ex-TCA President helped organize the Republic Day event from India to make the event successful. Advisory committee members of TCA Shravan Bellal, Suresh Vuyyuru, Srinivas Chukka, Thirupathaiah Gandey, Mahipal Annam, Srinivas Gujja, Janakiram Puppala, Krishnaiah Yelishetty, Ramesh Gubba helped in organizing the event. People appreciated Telangana Cultural Association for organizing the event and celebrating the Republic Day.
