Techie dies in road mishap Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): A software engineer, who sustained injuries in a road mishap, died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital under the Golconda police station limits. According to Inspector Chandrasekhar, the victim has been identified as Ahmed Ali Taha (28), a resident of New Town in Mahabubnagar district. Ahmed sustained serious injuries while going on his motorcycle from Gachibowli to Shaikpet when a car hit his bike last Monday. Police registered a case under Section 304A IPC.
Dowry demands force woman to take life
Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): Unable to meet the dowry harassment, a woman committed suicide under Chikadpally police station limits. According to Inspector K Srikanth, the victim has been identified as K Sridevi (24), wife of K Ravi Kumar, a resident of Saibaba lane, Chikadpally. At the time of marriage, Sridevi's father had given Rs five lakh in cash and ornaments as dowry.
After 3 months of marriage, Ravi Kumar and his brother Bhaskar has started harassing Sridevi mentally and physically demanding additional dowry of Rs 65,000. On Saturday night, Ravi Kumar telephoned to Sridevi sister's husband Raghavender to come his residence stating Sridevi has fallen down and was unconscious. When Raghavender arrived at Ravi Kumar's house, he found Sridevi's body on the bed and became suspicious. Deceased family members have lodged a case against Ravi Kumar and his family members alleging dowry harassment. Police registered a case under section 304 B IPC.
Lorry hits bike, labourer dead
Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): A labourer died when his motorcycle was hit by a lorry near Keesara cross road under the Keesra police station limits. According to Inspector G Jagan, the victim has been identified as J Sudhakar (25) a resident of Narapally village, Ghatkesar mandal. Police registered a case under section 304A IPC and body was shifted to Gandhi hospital for postmortem.
Woman kills self after domestic tiff
Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): A woman committed suicide by hanging herself to ceiling fan with a rope after a quarrel with her husband over a petty issue under the S R Nagar police station limits. According to Sub Inspector J Koteswara Rao, the victim has been identified as N Anjamma (26), wife of N Srinivas, a resident of Balkampet. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and body was shifted to Gandhi hospital for postmortem.
