Financier bludgeoned to death
Hyderabad, Feb 7 (INN): Unidentified persons bludgeoned a financer to death in broad daylight under Kushaiguda Police station limits on Monday. According to Inspector V Srikanth Goud, P Satyanarana Reddy (60) a resident of Sri Ram Nagar Colony, Kapra in Ranga Reddy district was attacked by an unidentified persons early on Monday morning. Satyanarayana Reddy had stepped outside his house when he was hit on his head by a wooden club, smashing his skull. He died on the spot. His assailant managed to flee from the spot. Kushaiguda Police registered a case under section 302 IPC and took up further investigations.
Man falls from moving bus, dies
Hyderabad, Feb 7 (INN): A private employee succumbed on Monday to the injuries he had suffered when he fell from a moving RTC bus under Gopalapuram police station limits. According to Sub Inspector P Yadagiri, T Srinivas (32), a resident of Begumpet had on Wednesday evening fallen down from the moving RTC bus in front of Secunderabad Railway Station. He was rushed to Gandhi Hospital with grievous injuries. He was undergoing treatment there but succumbed in the early hours of Monday. Police registered a case under section 304A IPC and handed over the body after postmortem to his relatives
Dowry harassment claims woman's life
Hyderabad, Feb 7 (INN): A 28-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly after being harassed for additional dowry under S R Nagar police station limits late on Sunday evening. According to Inspector Krishnamurthy, A Asha Bhairva (28) wife of Balaji Rakesh was a resident of Leelanagar, Ameerpet. On Sunday evening Asha took to the extreme step of committing suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence. She had got married in November 2010 and her parents claim that they had given Rs five lakh in cash besides gold ornaments as dowry.
Her parents further claimed that a few days after the marriage, Asha's husband Balaji and her in-laws had started to mentally and physically harassing her. This had led to the deceased becoming mentally depressed leading to her suicide, they said. Police registered a case under section 304 B and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. Case is under investigation.
