Kidney pain drives girl to suicide Hyderabad, Feb 8 (INN): Unable to bear pain in her kidney, a student committed suicide under the Jeedimetla police station limits. According to Inspector A Sanjeeva rao, the victim has been identified as E Sujata (24), daughter of Jagannadha. On Monday evening, Sujata committed suicide by consuming poison, after she could no longer bear the intensity of the pain. She was undergoing treatment for kidney ailments since a few weeks. She died while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital on Monday night. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC.
Woman dies in domestic fire mishap
Hyderabad, Feb 8 (INN): A woman succumbed to her burns, which she sustained while cooking, under the Miyapur police station limits. According to Sub inspector A Ramulu, the victim has been identified as Sujatha (35), wife of Lalappa, a resident of Miyapur. She died while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital on Monday night. Police registered a case under Section 174 CRPC.
Bus mows down GHMC sweeper
Hyderabad, Feb 8 (INN): A Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation sweeper died when a bus hit her at Ranigunj near Bombay hotel under Mahankali police station limits on Tuesday. According to Inspector S Ranga Rao, the victim has been identified as A Laxmi (46), wife of Krishna, a resident of Ambedkarnagar. Police registered a case and the body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
VRO nabbed while taking graft
Srikakulam, Feb 8 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau officials on Monday caught red-handed Birlangi Thavitanidu, a Village Revenue Officer, Naira (V), Srikakulam district at Kodiramamurthy Stadium when he accepting an amount of Rs 2,000 as bribe from the complainant for showing official favour to prepare the pattadar pass book and get it signed by the Tahsildar. The tainted amount was recovered from Thavitanaidu and he will be produced before the Court for Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Visakhapatnam.
