Three constables suspended for accepting Mamool from prostitutes Hyderabad, Feb 10 (INN): Three constables attached to the SR Nagar police station were on Thursday suspended for accepting 'mamool' from a notorious gang which was running a prostitution racket. According sources, the three constables, attached to the SR Nagar police station have been identified as Ramaiah, Krishna and Ratnam. They were suspended by Commissioner of Police AK Khan after West Zone DCP Stephen Ravindra forwarded a report to him.
Mr Ravindra had earlier ordered an inquiry by the SR Nagar police after complaints against the tainted trio were filed. The DCP had earlier ordered an inquiry into the matter when it came to his notice that the three constables were accepting 'mamools' from the gang under the police station limits. After due inquiry, the SR Nagar Police found the three constables to be involved in the scandal and duly filed its report. Mr Stephen Ravindra then took the action against the tainted constables and suspended them from service.
