Dallas Chapter Begins Implementing NATA's Vision

Dallas, TX: 'North American Telugu Association (NATA) Dallas Chapter began implementing the mission and vision of NATA leadership of AVN Reddy, Malla Reddy Pailla, and Prem Reddy' said NATA Regional Vice-President Rao Kalvala, who organized the first regional meeting on February 10, 2011 in Dallas, Texas.
The local Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX) President, NMS Reddy has announced that TANTEX is ready to assist NATA for its success and requested that a ational level meeting be held in Dallas to bring awareness in the Telugu community.
The Dallas Chapter meeting was held at Pasand Indian Cuisine in Richardson, Texas. About 50 members of Telugu community living in this area have participated with high enthusiasm and shared their opinions and views on NATA's core objectives. About 50 members enlisted in NATA at this kick off meeting. Members pledged to work actively on the membership drive with a 90 day deadline, explained Rao Kalvala.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Srinivasa Alla, Dr. Raghava Reddy, Dr. Sridhar Reddy Korsapati, Dr. Ramana Juvvadi, Dr. Narsimha Reddy Urimindi, Mr. NMS Reddy, Mr. Panditi and several other community leaders. Rao Kalvala explained the group about NATA as a premier national Telugu organization and assured that it will take care of all ocial interests of all Telugu people living in the United States.
Board of Director Dr. Srinivas Alla updated the audience about the first board meeting held in Las Vegas. Board of Director from this region, Raghava Reddy said that NATA will be embraced by all Telugu people across USA. Sridhar Reddy (Board of Director) said that NATA will create greater awareness among various Telugu people in the Dallas area. He answered some questions on how NATA has been playing active role in community services, for example, NATA assistance to Tri-Valley University students on mmigration needs and the formation of a committee dedicated helping students.
Ramana Juvvadi (Magazine editor) and Narsimha Reddy Urimindi reiterated NATA's core objectives including preserving the Telugu culture and heritage in the US. Ram Surya Reddy (Treasurer), explained the audience about the overwhelming membership nrollment, a true testament on need of newer organizations at the national level.
Thirumalendra Reddy and Prasad Reddy Mallu vowed to strengthen the NATA activities. Mahesh Adibhatla, Regional Coordinator thanked the entire group for attending the eeting despite a short notice and battling the severe cold weather.
