Tanzanian student killed in road mishap Hyderabad, Feb 13 (INN): A 20-year-old foreign student died in a road mishap under Ghatkesar police station limits late on Saturday night. According to Inspector Ch Srikanth, Nickson Elineema Membi (20), a B Com first year student of RK Degree College and a resident of Bapujinagar in Nacharam, was killed when he lost control over his motorcycle and crashed into a road divider. Membi was a Tanzanian citizen. The mishap took place near Anajpur Road. The incident left him serious injured and bleeding. He was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Police registered a case under section 304 A IPC.
Set afire by drunk husband, woman loses battle
Hyderabad, Feb 13 (INN): A 27-year-old woman died after battling for her life for almost two months after her husband, under the influence of alcohol, poured kerosene and set her on fire after a petty quarrel under KPHB police station limits early on Sunday morning. According to Inspector N Narsimha reddy, K Sarita wife of K Guruvaiah, was a resident of Sainagar, Bachupally. Guruvaiah had set her on fire on December 27, 2010 after a petty quarrel which took place after he had come home drunk. She had been rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment where she breathed her last early on Sunday morning. Police registered a case under section 302 IPC and 506 IPC police and arrested Guruvaiah.
Bikes collide, man dies
Hyderabad, Feb 13 (INN): A private employee died in a road accident under Uppal police station limits on Sunday afternoon. According to Inspector R Satyanarayana Raju, A Srinivas (28), a private employee and a resident of Laxminarayana Colony, was going on his motorcycle towards Nagole when the mishap took place. An oncoming motorcyclist dashed against him, due to which he fell down and received grievous injuries. He was rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Police registered a case under section 304A IPC and case is under investigation.
