Petty domestic quarrel wipes out entire family Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): In a shocking incident, a petty quarrel between a husband and his wife led to theirs and their two daughters' deaths under Moghalpura police station limits on Tuesday night. According to Moghalpura police inspector Syed Fayaz, Zabi Ahmed Siddiqui poisoned his two daughters Bushra (12) and Sidra (8) besides taking the extreme step himself on Tuesday evening following a petty quarrel with his wife. The shock on the passing away of her husband and daughters drove Asma Siddiqui to consume poison herself, wiping out the entire family.
Mr Fayaz said that Zabi Ahmed Siddiqui, a resident of Towlichowki had come to visit his mother at Sultan Shahi along with his family to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi. On Tuesday evening, he entered into heated arguments with his wife over a petty issue. The arguments left him frustrated enough to poison his two daughters and himself. The three were rushed to hospital where they were declared brought dead. The news left Asma Siddiqui stunned and the rest of the family in deep anguish. The loss of her family was too much for Asma Siddiqui to bear, and on Wednesday morning she consumed poison too, thus ending her life. The Moghalpura Police has registered a case under Section 174 CRrpc.
Scooterist dies in hit-and-run incident
Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): A 27-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident under Bowenpally Police Station limits on Tuesday night. According to Bowenpally Police, R Anjan Kumar, a resident of Sai Baba Colony was heading towards Bowenpally Military Highway on Tuesday night on his two-wheeler when a speeding unidentified vehicle rammed into him. The impact threw him to the road, killing him on the spot. However, he was rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where, following autopsy, the body was handed over to his relatives. The Bowenpally Police registered a case and investigation is on.
Death of infant drives mother to suicide
Hyderabad, Fe 16 (INN): One year after her infant died, a depressed mother committed suicide by consuming poison on late on Monday evening. Toopran police said that A Anita (24), a resident of Jeedimetla was a laborer. Anitha's first child, a daughter died due to a viral infection soon after her birth, leaving her in a state of depression. She consumed poison on Monday but passed away on Wednesday after doctors tried their best to save her life. Her body was handed over to her relatives after autopsy.
Neighbor stabs man fatally
Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): An elderly man was stabbed to death allegedly by his neighbor in West Marredpally. According to Merredpally Police, A Venkatabalaram, resident of Lepakshi Colony was believed to have been involved in a dispute with his neighbor Anil Kumar. The dispute ended with the grisly murder of Venkatabalaram who was chased and stabbed repeatedly by Anil Kumar on Tuesday evening. Anil Kumar is said to have chased the elderly man on his vehicle till he fell down. The multiple stab wounds left Venkatabalram hospitalized, where he died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday. The Marredpally Police registered a case and have launched a manhunt to nab the absconding Anil Kumar.
Dowry harassment drives woman to suicide
Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): Alleged harassment by in-laws for additional dowry drove a housewife, N Sangeeta (26), a resident of Eshwaraiahnagar Colony of Secunderabad, to end her life on Wednesday. According to Sub-Inspector N Laxma Reddy, Sangeeta was being mentally and physically tortured for extra dowry by her husband Anand Kumar and her in-laws. Unable to bear the sustained harassment, Sangeeta on Tuesday night ended her life by hanging herself at her home. The incident came to light on Wednesday. A case has been registered by Chilkalguda Police and investigation is on.
