Debt-ridden labourer poisons self Hyderabad, Feb 20 (INN): A labourer, who had consumed poison after facing financial worries on Thursday, died while undergoing treatment late on Saturday. According to Assistant Sub-Inspector G Jagadeshwar, C Papaiah (37) son of Mallaiah was a resident of Kotyal village, Molugu mandal of Medak district. He had resorted to consuming an unidentified poison on Thursday evening after being beset with severe financial problems. Papaiah had fallen unconscious after the extreme act and was rushed in an 108 ambulance to Balaji Hospital in Kompally where he died while undergoing treatment deceased late on Saturday night. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC. His body was handed over to his relatives after postmortem.
Train mows down man crossing tracks
Hyderabad, Feb 20 (INN): A speeding train mowed down a 50-year-old man while he was crossing the tracks under Secunderabad railway police station limits on Sunday morning. According to Sub-Inspector Khader Shareef, G Basavaiah, son of Narayana was a resident of Mallapur in Ranga Reddy district. He was crossing the tracks near Mallapur bridge when he was hit by the unidentified train. The mishap left him dead on the spot. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Woman dies of burns
Hyderabad, Feb 20 (INN): A 30-year-old woman, who had suffered burns while cooking under Malkajgiri police station limits, died in hospital late on Saturday night. According to Inspector B Ramesh, Shannu, wife of Khaja Pasha was a resident of Raja Nagar, Malkajgiri. Her clothes had caught fire on Monday evening while she was preparing food for her family. Shannu was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where she succumbed to her burns while undergoing treatment late on Saturday night. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC.
