Secretariat staff continue non-cooperation Hyderabad, Feb 21 (INN): Continuing their demand for introduction of a Bill on Telangana, the Secretariat employees continued their noncooperation agitation on Monday. The Employees demonstrated and abstained from their duties.
The officers and staff belonging to Telangana region continued their noncooperation and protested against the government's adamant attitude. The agitating staff also raised slogans in favour of separate Telangana.
The Secretariat staff have been actively participating in the non cooperation agitation since the day it was launched, February 17. They have been taking out rallies inside the premises on every working day after signing the attendance register.
According to some estimates, the noncooperation agitation was costing the government Rs 800 crore per day in revenue collection from Telangana region. There have been fears expressed that if the situation continues, the state will be facing a financial emergency soon.
