Woman's decomposed body found Hyderabad, Feb 22 (INN): A highly decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found under Falaknuma police station limits. According to Inspector S Ashok Reddy, the victim, aged about 25 to 35, was wearing black coloured saree and blouse. The body was recovered from a locked house at Vattepally area following complaints by the neighbours that a foul smell was emanating from there. The police broke open the door to discover the grisly sight of the woman's body stuffed in a large plastic sack. Police suspect house owner Nasir Khan, a tailor to be behind the murder. Nasir Khan has not been seen since the past 25 days. According to information, Nasir Khan had got divorced from his wife a few months ago and was staying alone in the house. Police registered a case under Section 302 IPC. The body was shifted to Osmania Hospital for postmortem.
Woman murdered, buried under sand
Hyderabad, Feb 22 (INN): A woman's body was recovered partially buried under sand in front of an under-construction building under Shivrampally police station limits on Tuesday. According to Inspector Uma Maheshwar Rao, the victim has been identified as Madhu (22), wife of Nagaraju, a resident of Mailardevpally. The body was discovered when passersby noticed the legs partially exposed from under the sand deposited in front of an under construction building at Mailardevpally area on Tuesday. Police said that Madhu, after separating from her husband Nagaraju, was staying alone since the last two months. They suspect that Nagaraju may have a hand in the murder of Madhu. Police registered a case under Section 302 IPC. Further investigations are on.
NFC officer dies as bus dashed into bike
Hyderabad, Feb 22 (INN): A NFC officer died on Tuesday after his motorcycle was hit by a RTC bus near Ferozguda Crossroads under Balanagar police station limits on Monday night. According to Sub-Inspector S Raja Ganga Ram, the victim has been identified as Shaik Raheem (49), a officer in photography department at NFC and a resident of Bhavani Nagar, ECIL. The mishap occurred when he was heading towards Balanagar from Kushaiguda on Monday evening. Police registered a case under Section 304A IPC and the body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Excise inspector in ACB net, DA of Rs 93 lakh found
Prakasam district, Feb 22 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths conducted simultaneous raids over the residence and relatives residences of D Subba Rao, Inspector, Prohibition and Excise department, Addanki, Prakasam district on Tuesday and recovered unaccounted property to the tune of Rs 93 lakh. The properties the ACB sleuths recovered include 3 houses, one plot, movable assets including cash of Rs 1,04,000, Bank balances Rs 4,80,500, Kisan Vikas Patra worth of Rs 4,80,000, ICICI Bonds worth of Rs 85,000, Promissory Notes worth of Rs 16,00,000, Gold worth of Rs 8 lakhs and one Santro Car and 2 Motor Cycles, all worth of Rs 93,74,500. The AO is found in possession of disproportionate assets to his known sources of income. The accused officer will be produced before the Court for SPE and ACB Cases, Nellore.
