Techie leaps to death as wife dies of fever Hyderabad, Feb 23 (INN): Dejected at the news of his wife's death while undergoing treatment, a software engineer leapt to his death from the fifth floor of Yashoda Hospital building in Secunderabad under Market police station limits on Wednesday. According to Inspector Vinod Kumar, Gopala Krishna (34) son of Marappa, a software engineer employed with IBM Bangalore jumped from the hospital building to his death after his wife Pooja passed away while undergoing treatment in the same hospital. The couple were residents of Sudhana Nivas in Bangalore. They had come to the city on February 16 after Pooja contracted a viral fever. The couple are survived by a two-month old boy. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC. The bodies were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem

Hyderabad, Feb 23 (INN): A junior assistant in the office of the medical Superintendent, Vizianagaram district hospital was on Wednesday nabbed red-handed while accepting bribe for performing his official duties. According to the police, accused Lakkaraju Nagabhushan Rao was caught red handed by the ACB Officials in the late hours of Tuesday at his office when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 1,700 as bribe from the complainant for showing official favour of preparing age proof certificate of the complainant and to get it signed by the Dental Surgeon and to hand over the same to the complainant. Tainted amount of Rs. 1,700/- was recovered from the office table desk of Nagabhushan Rao at his instance. Nagabhushan Rao was arrested.
Unidentified male body found
Hyderabad, Feb 23 (INN): The body of an unidentified male, believed to be around 38 years of age, as found at Narsapur Crossroad under Balanagar police station limits. According to Balanagar police, the unidentified body was clad in yellow coloured shirt and blue jeans. Police registered a case under section 174CRPC (Suspicious) and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
