Woman stabs ex-convict to save daughter's honour Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): A woman murdered an ex-convict to save her daughter's honour under Mandamarri police station limits in Adilabad district. According to Mandamarri police, G Sampath (46), a labourer and resident of Mandamarri in Adilabad district was a former convict. On Tuesday night, he had gone to Pochamma's house in drunken condition and tried to give fifty rupees to her ten-year-old minor daughter. The act led to Pochamma getting furious and she told Sampath to leave the house. The drunken man did not listen and an argument ensued. When Sampath brushed her aside and advanced towards her daughter, Pochamman grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him. Sampath was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment on Thursday night. He was a former convict and had served time in a rape case. He had earlier been arrested by the Kazipet police. Police registered a case under section 302 IPC and case is under investigation. Police registered a case under section 302 IPC.
Unsound woman bludgeons hubby to death
Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): A woman, said to be mentally unsound, murdered her husband under Miryalguda One Town police station limits. According to Miryalguda police, A Sudhakar (39) son of Chandraiah, a security guard was residing in Tarnaka. He was a native of Khammam district. On Thursday morning deceased was sleeping when his wife Vimala shut the door from inside and started hitting him with a wooden stick, used to grind spices, repeatedly on his forehead. Chandraiah was rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment where died late on Thursday night. Police registered a case under section 302 IPC and case is under investigation.
Abused woman immolates self
Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): Mentally disturbed over verbal abuse by her in-laws, a 21-year-old housewife immolated herself under Kowdipally police station limits, Medak district, late on Thursday night. According to Kowdipally police, B Anusha (21) wife of Narsimhulu, resident of Venkatraopet in Medak district took the extreme step by pouring kerosene and setting herself alight following oral abuse by her in-laws. The abuse started after she had scolded her sister-in-law's daughter. Anusha had fallen in love with Narsimhulu and married him three years earlier. Speeding bus knocks down labourer
Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): A speeding bus knocked down a labourer under Pet Basheerabad police station limits on Thursday night. According to Sub-Inspector P Janardhan Rao, K Laxman Rao (30), a labourer and resident of Kompally was going from Kompally to Dulapally when the mishap took place. He was crossing the road when he was hit by the speeding bus. He died on the spot. Police registered a case under section 304A IPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Scolded for not studying, inter girl immolates self
Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): Scolded by her parents for not devoting enough time for studies, an Intermediate student committed suicide by immolating herself under Jeedimetla police station limits on Thursday evening. According to Sub-Inspector T Purshottam Rao, Kumari R Swetha (17) daughter of Srinivas Goud was a resident of Nanda Nagar, Ranga Reddy district. On Thursday evening, Swetha poured kerosene and lit herself after she received a scolding by her parents. The scolding left her mentally depressed and led her to take the extreme step. She was shifted to Gandhi Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC.
