Man burns wife after in-law files complaint Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): Uncontrollable anger drove a man to pour kerosene and set his wife on fire under Meerpet police station limits. According to inspector T Ravinder, K Aruna (38) wife of Babu, a resident of Lenin Nagar, Meerpet succumbed to her burns late on Friday night. She had on Wednesday been set on fire by her husband after her brother had lodged a complaint against him. The complaint stated that Babu was harassing his wife for dowry and also suspecting her fidelity. Following the attack, Aruna had been rushed to Osmania Hospital for treatment. She died late on Friday evening. Police registered a case under section 498A and 302 IPC case is under investigation
Wife's death drives auto driver to suicide
Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): An auto driver committed suicide by hanging himself due to mental depression following his wife's death under Shamirpet police station limits late on Friday. According to Sub Inspector RB Naik, G Naresh (22) son of Bhikshapathi, an auto driver and a resident of Aliyabad in Ranga Reddy district, was depressed after the death of his wife two months ago in a fire accident. On Friday night, Naresh used a saree to hang himself from an iron rod in his home. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Cheated by partners, man kills self
Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): A 40-year-old businessman committed suicide after allegedly being cheated and insulted by partners under KPHB Police station limits late on Friday. According to Sub Inspector K Juka Reddy, A Panakalu Rajkiran, son of Venkata Narsimha Rao was a resident of Victor Pride Apartments in Kukatpally. On Friday night, Rajkiran hanged himself at his resident after leaving a suicide note. According to the suicide note, he had resorted to the extreme step after his business partners in Prava Laboratories Private Limited cheated him and caused him a huge financial loss. He had set up the company in 2006 with his wife Jhansi Rani as a director.
After one year, in 2007 one Tirupathi Reddy, who was working in Dr Reddy's Labs left his job and joined Prava Labs as a director and partner. In 2008, another partner Vasudev Chary also joined the company. Rajkiran alleged in the suicide note that Vasudev and Tirupathi Reddy were cheating him by taking the help of accountant Madhav Reddy. They had even fabricated accounts, he claimed. When he had accosted them, the due had blamed him for the losses and had insulted him, Rajkiran said in his suicide note. This had left him deeply distressed and left him with no other option than to take the extreme step, the note further state. Police registered a case under section 306 IPC. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Land dispute suspected behind man's murder
Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): A car driver was brutally murdered by unidentified persons under Alwal police station limits late on Friday evening. According to Inspector K Srinivas Rao, Vibhuti Krishna (35) son of Chantaiah, a resident of Koya Basti in Old Bowenpally was a driver. Late on Friday night, unidentified persons smashed his head with a boulder while he was on his way to Hashmatpet. He died on the spot. Police suspect that the murder can be a fall out of a land dispute. Police registered a case under section 302 IPC. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Housewife dies in domestic fire mishap
Hyderabad, Feb 26 (INN): A 27-year-old housewife died in hospital early on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment for the burn injuries she had received in a domestic fire accident under Pahadi Shareef police station limits. According to inspector P Srinivas Reddy, Sana wife of Mohammed Mohsin was a resident of Shaheen Nagar. She had received severe burn injuries on Wednesday evening when the kerosene stove she was pumping burst and ignited a fire. She was rushed to Osmania Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment early on Saturday morning. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC. Her body was handed over to her family after post-mortem.
