Dowry harassment claims woman's life Hyderabad, Feb 28 (INN): Unable to bear the additional dowry harassment, a woman committed suicide under the KPHB police station limits. According to Inspector N Narsimha Reddy, the victim has been identified as Nakka Rajitha (25), wife of Jairaj, a resident of Gabbilalapet, Shamirpet. On last Monday night, Rajitha committed suicide by pouring kerosene on her body and setting herself on fire. With 75 percent burns, she was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where she died on Sunday night. Rajitha married Jairaj in 2005 and has two children. Police registered a case under Section 306 IPC and 498 A.
Rt railway employee falls to death from train
Hyderabad, Feb 28 (INN): A retired railway employee died after falling down from a train under the Vikarabad railway police station limits. According to railway police, the victim has been identified as Purna Shankar (61), a resident of V T Colony Tandur, Rangareddy district. On Thursday night, Shankar fell down from train near Godandaguda railway station while alighting and received severe injuries. He died at Yashoda Hospital while undergoing treatment on Sunday night. Police registered a case under Section 174 CRPC.
Labourer falls to death
Hyderabad, Feb 28 (INN): A labour accidentally fell down from fourth floor of a building under the Kukatpally police station limits. According to Sub-inspector M Rajaiah, the victim has been identified as V Gurumurthy (19), a resident of Moosapet. On Sunday, the victim was working on fourth floor at Madhavaram colony, Kukatpally and accidentally fell down. He died on the spot. Police registered a case under Section 174 CRPC.
ACB raids reveal Rs 91 lakh DA from Spl. Collector
Hyderabad, Feb 28 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths unearthed assets worth over Rs 91 lakh from to Mude Lal Singh, Special Collector, Land Acquisition, Bheema Project, Mahabubnagar district. According to the officials, simultaneous searches were conducted by the ACB Officials on Monday over the residence of Mude Lal Singh in Mahabubnagar district and at the residence relatives. Searches resulted in unearthing immovable assets including 2 houses, 23 house plots and movable assets including cash of Rs 2.31 lakh, bank balances to the tune of Rs 2.29 lakh, insurance policies worth Rs 1 Lakh, house hold articles worth of Rs 1.5 lakh, car worth of Rs 5 lakh. The AO will be produced before the Court for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
