B Tech student kills self after unable to pay fee Hyderabad, Mar 4 (INN): A B Tech student late on Thursday night committed suicide allegedly after being unable to pay his college fees under Patancheru police station limits. According to police, Shankar Reddy (18), son of Venkat Reddy A B Tech 1st year student was a resident of Patancheru. On Thursday night, Venkat Reddy committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan after not being able to pay his college fees. He had got himself admitted to BRR College at Patancheru and had paid Rs 10,000 as the first instalment of his fee. He was unable to pay the balance of Rs 40,000. His inability to pay the balance amount had made him mentally depressed and he resorted to the extreme step. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital.

Hyderabad, Mar 4 (INN): A B Sc student committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train under the Secunderabad railway police station limits. According to Sub-Inspector Khader Shareef, N Swapna (21) daughter of N Sangram was a resident of Koti. She was a B Sc third year student from the SP College. On Thursday night, Swapna jumped in front of a moving train between Medchal and Dabirpur railway station after she was not allowed to take her final year exams since she had not paid her fees. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem
Improper project drives B Tech student to suicide
Hyderabad, Mar 4 (INN): A B Tech student committed hanged herself to death after she was not being able to make a presentable seminar project under Chilkalguda police station limits. According to Sub-Inspector M Laxma Reddy, P Divya Krishna (21), a B Tech fourth year student was a resident of Dilsukhnagar. On Friday morning, she hanged herself with ceiling fan in her uncle's residence after being depressed that she was unable to make a presentable project for her college seminar. She had come to her uncle's residence on Thursday morning. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.

Hyderabad, March 4 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Friday caught one Kuppili Ganesha, a Junior Assistant, SVLL ZPH School, Gopalapatnam, Visakhapatnam District was caught red handed after he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 3000 as bribe from the complainant for showing official favour. This official favour was to process and forward an application of the complainant to the Director of Examinations, AP, Hyderabad for issue of duplicate SSC Certificate. The tainted amount of Rs 3000/- was recovered from the left side shirt pocket at his instance. Ganesh has been arrested and will being produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Visakhapatnam.
AD nabbed for seeking bribe from widows
Kakinada, Mar 4 (INN): Handlooms and Textiles assistant director K Chandra Rao was on Friday caught red handed by ACB officials when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 3000 as bribe from the complainant for having shown official favour. According to the ACB, K Appayamma and Ch Narayanamma, widows at weavers from D Polavaram (V), Tuni (M) for processing their claims of LIC Insurance Amounts on the death of their husbands under 'Bunkara Yojana Insurance Scheme' and to get the LIC Cheques issued and delivered to them. Tainted amount of Rs 3000 was recovered from the pocket of K Chandra Rao at his instance. K Chandra Rao was arrested and will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Vijayawada.
