Inter student electrocuted in college hostel

Hyderabad, Mar 5 (INN): An Intermediate student died late on Friday night after accidentally touching a live wire in the hostel of his College under Kukatpalli police station limits. According to Inspector K Srinivasa Rao, Nomula Vinith Reddy (16) son of Janardhan Reddy, was an MPC first year student of Narayana Junior College in Kukatpalli and a native of Argul village, Jakrampally mandal in Nizamabad district. He was residing in the college hostel.

Late on Friday night, he had come down from the third floor of the hostel building to the warden's room on the second floor to drink water. While returning to the third floor, Vinith touched a live electric wire and fell down unconscious. He was rushed to Prime Hospital in Kukatpalli where doctors declared brought dead. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.

Unable to marry uncle's daughter, man kills self

Hyderabad, Mar 5 (INN): A private employee committed suicide after his proposal to get married to his uncle's daughter was rejected under Neredmet police station limits late on Friday. According to Sub-Inspector K Srinivas, Daniel John (24) son of Robert John, a private employee and a resident of Neredmet took the extreme step after his uncle rejected his marriage proposal since his daughter was a minor. On Friday night, Daniel hanged himself from a rod in an intoxicated condition after being mentally depressed over the turn of events. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.

Teenager dies in domestic fire mishap

Hyderabad, Mar 5 (INN): A teenaged girl died after being badly burnt in a domestic fire mishap under Begumpet police station limits. According to Sub-Inspector S Santosham, Sultana Begum (17) daughter of Shabbir Ali and a resident of Indrammanagar, Rasoolpura in Begumpet was preparing food at her residence on Friday evening when the mishap took place. Police say that her clothes caught fire and she suffered 70 per cent burns. Sultana was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment late on Friday night. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and handed over the body to her relatives after postmortem.

Student killed as lorry hits bike

Hyderabad, Mar 5 (INN): A student died when a lorry hit him from behind under Trimulgherry police station limits late on Friday. According to Inspector P Sreedhar, P Rahul reddy (24) son of P Surender Reddy was a resident of Bhudevinagar in Trimulgherry. Rahul was going on his motorcycle from LB Nagar when the mishap took place near Gun Rock Sub Station crossroad. A speeding lorry dashed into his motorcycle, after which he fell to the ground and received grievous injuries. He was rushed to the nearest hospital by passersby, where he was declared brought dead. Police registered a case under section 304A IPC and shifted to the body Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
