Renew trade licences before March 25: GHMC
Hyderabad, March 8 (INN): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Tuesday requested traders in its limits to renew their trade licenses before March 25 or face the prospect of paying an additional 50 per cent as penalty. The renewal of trade licenses is required under sections 521 and 622 of HMC Act, 1955 for the year 2010 ' 2011. The licenses can be renewed at any of e-Seva centers / Citizen Service centers in GHMC limits.
Those traders who have not taken trade license so far were requested to approach the nearest e-Seva centers / Citizen Service centers in GHMC Circle offices and apply for trade licenses. The GHMC said that as many as one hundred teams have been deployed to take action on the trades which have not renewed or not having the trade license.
The GHMC warned that those traders who do not renew the trade license or are running the trade without obtaining trade license would be considered unlicensed trades. The GHMC Commissioner reserves the right to get the premises closed and the goods and articles used for running the said trades seized as per the HMC Act 1955.
