Watchman electrocuted Hyderabad, March 12 (INN): A watchman was electrocuted to death while curing the walls of an under-construction building under Punjagutta police station limits on Saturday morning. According to Inspector Ashok Chakravarthy, B Venkata Rao (45) son of Venkateshwarulu, a resident of Punjagutta was curing a newly constructed wall on the third floor of an under-construction building near the Indane Gas Godown at Ameerpet when he came in contact with a live wire. He died on the spot. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC.
Dowry harassment claims woman's life
Hyderabad, March 12 (INN): Unable to bear the mental and physical harassment at the hands of her husband and in-laws, a 23-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan under Chandanagar police station limits late on Friday. According to Inspector B Surender Rao, Thammishetty Pavani wife of T Shiva Prasad was a housewife and a resident of Pallavi Apartments, Chandanagar. On Friday night, Pavani took the extreme step of killing herself by hanging from the ceiling fan after she could no longer bear the harassment for additional dowry from her husband and in-laws. Police registered a case under section 304B 498A and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. Further investigation is on.
Financial problems drive labourer to suicide
Hyderabad, March 12 (INN): A labourer committed suicide by hanging himself from an iron rod due to financial problems under Malkajgiri police station limits late on Friday. According to Assistant Sub Inspector Manikyappa, K Nagesh (38) son of K Seshanna, a labourer took the extreme step after being mentally depressed due to financial problems. He was a resident of Maruthinagar, Ranga Reddy district. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC.
Man killed as auto rams into him
Hyderabad, March 12 (INN): A supervisor in a private company was killed when an auto-rickshaw rammed into him under Saroornagar police station limits late on Friday night. According to Inspector K Purna Chander Rao , J Nageshwar Rao (50) son of Veeraiah was a resident of VV Nagar, Saroornagar. On Friday night, Nageshwar Rao was crossing the road to return home after work when he was hit by the auto-rickshaw. He fell to the ground due to the impact and received grievous injuries. Nageshwar Rao was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment early on Saturday morning. Police registered a case and investigation is on.
