Financial woes drive woman, daughters to attempt suicide Hyderabad, March 15 (INN): Severe financial hardships drove a labourer and her two daughters to attempt suicide under Asifnagar police station limits on Tuesday. According to police, Lakshmamma (35) hailing from Mahabubnagar district, was staying at Mehdipatnam and working as a labourer for the last few months.
Her meager earnings were seemingly insufficient to ease her financial problems. On Tuesday, Lakshmamma, along with her two daughters Kavita (16) and Anita (8) attempted suicide by consuming an unidentified poisonous substance. The trio fell unconsciousness after taking the poisonous substance. They were rushed to Osmania General Hospital where the doctors on duty managed to save their lives. Asifnagar Police has registered a case and investigation is on.
