Panel formed to oversee traffic flow Hyderabad, March 16 (INN): The state government has constituted a Committee to supervise the traffic flow of the twin cities, including the upgradation of traffic signals on city roads.
According to a GO passed recently, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner has been named the Chairman of the Committee, which will also have the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), GHMC Additional Commissioner (Electrical) as Members while GHMC Additional Commissioner (T and T) will be the Member-Convenor.
The Committee is empowered to supervise the traffic system of the twin cities, upgrade the traffic signals and modernise the control room from which the entire city traffic can be controlled. The GHMC has already released Rs 10 crore to the traffic police for the modernisation of the Traffic signals.
