Fake Currency Racket Busted, 4 held Hyderabad, March 23 (INN): The sleuths of ACP Chikkadpally Division Team on a tip off nabbed four member team who indulged in exchanging Indian Fake currency at various shops by purchasing petty articles i.e soaps, oils, and cloths etc., to earn easy money. They seized fake currency of Rs. 1,60,000/- from their possession. The accused have been identified as Ruqumuddin Sheik (21yrs), Feroz Shaik (20yrs), Bhorjahan Sheik (20yrs), Shariful Sheik (19yrs), all from Malda District of West Bengal.
About a week back all the accused had come to Hyderabad in search of labour job. Here they met one of their friend named Bullu, who offered them fake Indian currency to exchange them in the local market with a promise to share half of the earned amount with them. This way they wandered in the city and got exchanged the fake currency and collected an amount of Rs 1,60,000/- before being apprehended by crime staff on receipt of credible information.
Fake currency notes of Rs.1000 denomination (23 nos.) and original Indian currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.100 denominations were also siezed from their possesion. The crime staff of P.S Chikkadpally led by Mr. S.Prathap, D.I. Chikkadpally, Mr. M.Rajesh, S.I, Sri. Hassan Shareef, ASI and others caught hold the accused near Chandana Bro's, Chikkadpaly Hyderabad. They were arrested in Cr.No. 101/2011 u/s 489 (B) & (C) IPC and were remanded to custody.
