Earth Hour: HMDA calls for lights off on March 26
Hyderabad, March 25 (INN): The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will observe Earth Hour at 8.40 PM at Buddha Purnima Authority Office, adjacent to Lumbini Park on March 26, 2011.
The HMDA has taken the decision to observe the Earth Hour in a bid to create a sense of responsibility amongst the citizens towards saving energy and protecting the environment.
In a statement, the HMDA requested the general public to switch off lights in their offices, homes and usage of energy where ever possible between 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM on March 26, 2011.
The HMDA also invited all citizens to join it at Buddha Purnima Authority Office, adjacent to Lumbini Park and make the Earth Hour a grand success.
