TB afflicted teenager ends life Hyderabad, April 1 (INN): Disheartened after being afflicted by tuberculosis, a 16-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself at his sister residence here on Friday.
According to Falaknuma Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Goud, the teenager has been identified as Syed Yousuf, 16, a resident of Erragadda. Yousuf had been staying with his sister Afroze Begum at Fatimanagar for the last six month and was working with a 'Lassi Stall' at Shah-Ali Banda.
Yousuf was suffering from tuberculosis since the past few months and was upset over his ill-health. This had led him to take the extreme step of ending his life.
Every summer the boy used to come to the old city in search of seasonal job, this time around had been staying with sister and had found work in a lassi stall at Shah-Ali-Banda.
On Friday morning, when no one was present at his sister's residence, Yousuf had ended his life by hanging himself. He had telephoned his parents before taking the extreme step. A case has been registered by the Falaknuma Police and following autopsy, the dead body was handed over to his relatives.
