Two more cricket bookies held Hyderabad, April 1 (INN): The sleuths of Jubilee Hills Police Station on Friday nabbed two cricket bookies and seized Rs 1,50,000 in cash, a television set, a laptop, 5 mobile phones, a setup box with 25 cellphones from their possession
The accused have been identified as Konadha Raju Thammi Raju, resident of Madhura Nagar and native of Bhimavaram, West Godavari district and A Jagadish, resident of Madhhuranagar, SR Nagar.
They are accused of accepting cricket bettings by taking a room on rent at Gayathri Hills and using the premises as gaming house.
The bookies have been organizing bettings since last 4 years by setting up sub-bookies. They accept the bookings from these sub-bookies and also from his coterie of punters. They have about 14 sub-bookies operating in Bhimavaram, Vijaywada and Hyderabad.
