NATS to conduct Telugu American Idol
New Jersey: As part of the North America Telugu Society (NATS) 2011 Convention there is going to be a 'Telugu American Idol' Singing Star search competition. The purpose of the competition is to recognize the vocal talent among the expatriate Telugu people residing outside India. NATS is conducting this event in association with a popular Internet Radio station.
To particiapate in this contest, participants must be residing outside India. Sing Songs only in Telugu and they can be either film vocal, classical / semi-classical or Janapadam. There is No Registration Fee.
Contest Categories:
A). Group I: Ages less than 15 years
B). Group II: Ages 16 - 22 years
C). Group III: Ages 23 and Above

Prelims: Starts on April 3, 2011, every Sunday between 12-2 PM. On Telugu One Radio on Internet (TORI) Live, Using Internet Skype or Regular Phone.
Semi-Finals: Live Stage show on Popular Telugu TV Channels in June. New Jersey for East Region, Dallas for South, and other Cities. The actual places will be announced soon.
Finals will be held at NATS 2011 Convention on July 3, 2011 at New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, 97 Sunfield Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837.
