Youth must focus on rural development: Lyngdoh Mahabubnagar, April 3 (INN): Former Chief Election Commissioner James Michael Lyngdoh on Sunday called upon rural youth to participate widely in the development works taken up in villages.
Talking to media persons after the inauguration of a water purification plant at Kadtal gram panchayat in Mahabubnagar district on Sunday, the former chief election commissioner stressed on the importance of youth and the relevance of their services in the development of villages.
Mr Lyngdoh called upon youth to participate in social service activities widely. Former election commissioner KJ Rao expressed serious concern over the rampant corruption in the country. He exhorted the youth to join politics and take steps for eradicating corruption and other social evils in the country.
