Police seize 1754 pirated CDs Hyderabad, April 10 (INN): South Zone sleuths on Sunday conducted a raid on New Super Star Music Centre, at Gulzar Houz near Charminar and seized 1754 pirated CDs/DVDs of Telugu, Hindi, English and Bengali languages.
The Task Forces officials also arrested one Noor Mohammed in this connection. The sleuths conducted the raid based on credible information that Noor Mohammed was selling pirated the CDs.
On interrogation the accused admitted that he has been working in the shop for last six months. The shop is owned by one Amaan Ali, who resides in Aliabad and has been running the shop since the past eight years.
According to Noor Mohammed, for the last 4-5 months, they resorted to sell the pirated film and MP3 VCDs, CDs and DVDs by procuring them from their known supplier at low rates and sell them at higher prices. Proprietor Amaan Ali is at large. The police are making efforts to nab Amaan Ali. Noor Mohammed was handed over to Station House Officer, Mirchowk Police station for further investigation.
