Five held for leaking B Com question paper Hyderabad, April 11 (INN): Sleuths of the Central Crime Station on Monday took into custody five persons on charges of leaking the B Com (Taxation) examination question papers. According to the police, the arrested accused, identified as Raunak Kumar Agarwal, R Pawan Kumar, D Srikanth, Ibrahim and Vishal Jain.
Giving further details, the police said that the case came to light when Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Osmania University S Shivraj, who is also holding the charge of Controller of Examinations, lodged a complaint at CCS (DD) Hyderabad.
Professor Shivraj stated in his complaint that on 9th of April he received a phone call from Vice Principal of Jagruti Degree and PG College, Narayanguda D Josephine who told him that a police Inspector had approached her and told her that it was suspected that the B Com II year (Taxation) question paper was leaked.
Ms Josephine told Professor Shivraj that the Inspector Raja Venkat Reddy, attached to the West Zone Task Force had brought along with him a photocopy of the leaked question paper.
Professor Shivraj gave Ms Josephine the permission to verify if the photocopied tallied with the original question paper. When it was found out that the paper was indeed leaked, Professor Shivraj lodged a formal complaint, leading to the arrests.
Based on the complaint, the CCS sleuths traced and arrested the four persons and seized more copies of the leaked questioned papers from their possession. The case is under further investigation.
