Employees not to be paid for non-cooperation stir? Hyderabad, April 13 (INN): The state government is believed to have issued a GO, GO 177 on Wednesday, which states that salaries of those employees who participated in the noncooperation agitation would not be paid.
According to highly placed sources, GO 177 was issued by Chief Secretary SV Prasad and has been passed on to the General Administration Department. However, this has not been confirmed yet.
According to the GO, the state government would also initiate disciplinary action against those employees who participate in the bandhs, agitations, strikes and pendown strikes, abstaining from duties.
The GO clearly states that `No Work No pay' rule would be strictly implemented to maintain discipline in the employees of various departments. The GO also mentioned guidelines for employees' to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
Meanwhile senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao on Wednesday demanded that the government scrap GO 177 as it was anti-employees and detrimental to their democratic rights.
He is believed to have written a letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to withdraw the GO immediately. In his letter, Mr Harish Rao also demanded that the branches of the NTR University of Health, Vijayawada, should be established in the three parts of state.
