TNGO's protest against GO 177, held Hyderabad, April 15 (INN): The Joint Action Committee of Telangana NGOs' Association on Friday warned the state government that they would intensify their agitation if the controversial GO 177 was not withdrawn immediately.
The TNGO's JAC also set a deadline of Friday evening for the government to withdraw the said GO.
JAC leaders Swamy Goud, Srinivas Goud and Devi Prasad were arrested at the main gate of the state Secretariat when they tried to lead a rally to the state Assembly as a protest against the GO.
Earlier the Secretariat staff wore black badges to protest against GO 177 which they claimed curtailed their rights. Seeking to scrape the said GO, the NGO leaders came out of their offices after sporting black badges. They however made it clear that they were on duty.
