Science Express to pull in city on Monday Hyderabad, April 17 (INN): The 'Science Express' will pull in at the Secunderabad Railway station on Monday to enable the public to view various exhibits on display inside its compartments. The 'Science Express' part of the Indian Railways mobile exhibition on train and has been on track from December 4, 2010. It will continue till June 16, 2011.
An exhibition project of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, the Science Express is programmed to halt for exhibition for public view at 56 railway stations throughout the country. Science Express will be on display for public viewing at Secunderabad Railway Station from April 18 to April 21, 2011.
South Central Railway Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division Sanjeev Roy will open the exhibition train at Platform No 10 (Bhoiguda Side) of Secunderabad Station at 10 AM on Monday. Entry for visitor is free and the exhibition timings will be from 10 AM to 5 PM.
The Science Express is a prestigious exhibition project of Government of India designed with the motto of creating Scientific temper among the masses especially the youth, by highlighting the Scientific and Technological developments achieved by our Nation.
The thirteen fully air conditioned exhibition coaches of Science Express have exhibits on science subjects such as the big bang, nano cosmos, building block of life, gene to organism, architecture of the mind, the world of senses, technologies of the future, climate change, global challenges, the spaceship-earth, our home in the cosmos, the universe, India's achievements in science, joy of science lab. etc.
Visitors are not allowed to carry articles such as Mobile Phone, Camera, bag, match box, cigarettes, beedis, tobacco, water bottle, sharp objects etc.
