Allottees told to occupy residence before May 20 Hyderabad, April 19 (INN): Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Urban Community Development and Housing Additional Commissioner GD Priyadarshini on Tuesday appealed to all the beneficiaries (allottees) of the JnNURM Housing Schemes in different parts of GHMC, to occupy the houses allotted to them by May 20, 2011.
Addressing media persons here, Ms Priyadarshini said that if the allottees failed to occupy their houses by the said date, the houses will be allotted to other beneficiaries, after duly giving cancellation notices.
The Additional Commissioner informed that GHMC has constructed 16,922 houses under JnNURM scheme to BPL families residing in slums and so far only about 1492 beneficiaries have occupied their houses.
She also stated that the GHMC has waited till now but it will be difficult for the beneficiaries to shift in between an academic year. 'Now is the time for them to occupy their allotted houses, since all the exams are completed,' she said. All the basic amenities had been provided and soon after their occupancy, GHMC will take care of other requirements on demand.
