Komaram Bhim's statue at Tank Bund
Hyderabad, April 20 (INN): Bharatiya Janata Party Floor leader in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Bangari Prakash on Wednesday welcomed the standing committee decision of approving installation of Freedom Fighter Komaram Bheems statue at the Tank Bund.
Talking to INN on Wednesday, Bangari Prakash thanked the GHMC for installation of Freedom Fighter Komaram Bheems statue on the Tank Bund along with great Telugu personalities.
Earlier, the Mayor refused to make any commitment on the issue and said that the decision to install the statue fell within the purview of the Government and not the GHMC. This prompted the BJP Corporators to protest. BJP Floor Leader Bangari Prakash pointed out to the Mayor that the Bronze statue of Komaram Bheem has been readied a year ago.
