Deputy Forest Range Officer in ACB net Medak, April 21 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Thursday nabbed red-handed a Deputy Forest Range Officer when he demanded and accepted Rs 15,000 as bribe.
According to ACB Inspector Soma Narayana Singh, the accused officer was identified as Lakshmana Chary, who was caught red-handed when he demanded Rs 15,000 as bribe from a person for doing an official favour.
The ACB swung into action after the complainant has approached them. They pounced on the tainted officer immediately after the bribe money was handed over to him and nabbed him. The amount was also seized from his possession.
The accused officer was taken into arrested and sent for judicial custody. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
