ITIR project gets Planning Commission's nod Hyderabad, April 23 (INN): Minister for Information Technology Ponnala Lakshmiah on Saturday informed that the Planning Commission has given the nod for the state government's proposal for the Rs 2380 crore Information Technology Investment Region.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat on Saturday, Mr Lakshmaiah said that the proposal for ITIR facilitates spread of the Information Technology uniformly in the entire GHMC area.
This apart, the new proposal would help build infrastructure and other allied facilities to pave the way for opening more and more it companies around the megacity.
As of now the International Airport, Outer Ring Road, PV Narasimha Rao Expressway and the Metro Rail and other facilities were attracting the investors abroad to invest in Hyderabad, Mr Lakshmaiah said.
In addition to this, the said ITIR proposal would spell out new avenues for the investors, the Minister claimed. Mr Lakshmaiah informed that in addition to the existing 2000 E-Seva centres, 3,000 more such centres would be opened in state. The Minister had earlier in the day declared open the GGK Technologies IT company at NSL SEZ, Uppal.
