Maoists dump found with huge cache of arms Vizianagaram, April 25 (INN): Police seized a huge cache of arms from a Maoist dump during combing operations by personnel of the Special Task Force Police and the CRPF at Chakkavalasa Reserve Forest, Saluru mandal late on Sunday night.
According to District Superintendent of Police Naveen Gulati, police seized 25 live rounds of .303 calibre, a loaded and one empty magazine, four land mines, a wire bundle, seven charger guides, spring field Rifle with 37 live rounds, five other magazines, 50 electrical detonators, 100 non electrical detonators and some Maoist literature.
Mr Gulati said that the police believe that the dump was earlier used by Andhra and Orissa zonal Maoists like RK, Chalapathi, Suresh Daya, Aruna, Ramesh, Bhavani Jansi and others to target the police. The DSP said that intense combing operations have pushed the Maoists to the Andhra-Orissa borders. 'The combing operations will continue,' the DSP said.
