Two killed as autos collide Khammam, April 28 (INN): At least two persons were killed on spot while seven others were left injured in a road accident which occurred near the old Yellendu Railway bridge in Kothagudem mandal in Khammam on Thursday.
According to Sub-Inspector Sambhaiah, the victims were identified as Malothu Harya (50) and Malothu Prem Chandra (15). Both were residents of Punakala and were killed on the spot.
Mr Sambhaiah further revealed that the mishap occurred when an auto-rickshaw collided with an auto-trolley coming from the opposite direction. The auto-rickshaw had nine members of a family on board. They were on their way to attend a marriage function at Pullur Thanda in Dornakal mandal of Warangal district.
Police reached the spot on getting information and shifted the victims to hospital for treatment and autopsy. A case has been registered and the auto driver has been taken into custody. Further investigations are on.
