Three killed as van rams into stationery lorry Mahabubnagar, May 2 (INN): Three persons were killed in a mishap when a speeding DCM van rammed into a stationary lorry parked haphazardly on the road at at Rangapur village, Pebbair mandal in the district on Monday.
According to police, the victims were identified as Shaik Moula Ali (45), son of Mahmood Shab, Nagiri Chandrasekhar (18) who succumbed on the spot. Another person, identified as Keshav Naidu (22), son of Bhoopal Naidu, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The mishap occurred when the speeding DCM van has hit a stationary lorry which was parked haphazardly on the road. The van was carrying a load of sweet lemons and was headed to Hyderabad from Tadiparti.
The police reached the spot on getting information and shifted the victims to a Government hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the driver of the lorry who had parked his vehicle in a haphazard manner.
