ACB raids RTA office, seize Rs 1.3 lakh
Hyderabad, May 4 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Wednesday conducted raids at the East Zone Regional Transport Authority office at Moosaram Bagh in Malakpet and seized Rs 1.3 lakh in unaccounted cash amounting. Thirteen middlemen or agents have also been taken into custody.
According to information coming in, the ACB officials have conducted the raids on receipt of credible information that illegal activities were taking place in the RTA office.
Officials seized Rs 1.3 lakh in cash and took 13 middlemen into their custody. These 13 persons could not explain their presence on the premises at the time of the raids.
Officials also said that Rs 8,000 which was lying at a counter in RTA office was also seized. Deputy Superintendents Sai Kumar and Shankar Reddy, Inspectors Venkat Ramana, Shankar, Chiranjeevi, Adi Murthy, Sub-Inspector Raja Vardhan Reddy were among the raiding party.
