TRS to picket HM, DGP's residences Hyderabad, May 4 (INN): Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Wednesday warned that the TRS activists would picket Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao's residences if they continue recruitments in Police Department without addressing the Free Zone issue.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the senior TRS leader alleged that the government was making efforts to recruit police personnel in the department without resolving the Hyderabad Free Zone issue.
Despite the state Assembly passing a resolution on the Free Zone issue, the state government has not done anything to get it accepted by the Centre, Mr Harish Rao charged.
He said that justice would not be done to the Telangana candidates if Hyderabad remains a Free Zone for recruitment. The TRS leader appealed to state government to include Hyderabad in Zone-6 that comprises other Telangana districts and prevent injustice to Telangana candidates in the recruitments.
Until addressing the Free Zone issue, the government must stop recruitments, he appealed. If the government goes ahead with the recruitments without solving the Free Zone issue the TRS and other pro-Telangana activists will picket the Home Minister's and the DGP's residences, Mr Harish Rao warned.
He also appealed to government to stop deputations in Telangana until the Free Zone issue is resolved.
