Langar Houz police detains wife in lieu of husband Hyderabad, May 6 (INN): A woman has been detained by the Langar Houz police when they failed to lay their hands on her husband since Thursday night. According to Md Shahbaz, his sister and the mother of four children, was summoned to the Langar Houz police station after the police were unable to lay their hands on her husband Sarwar.
Shahbaz told media persons that his sister Afsar Saba (28), a resident of Langer House was not allowed to leave the Langar Houz police station since Thursday night. Saba is reported to have been told that she would not be allowed to leave the police station till her husband is caught.
Shahbaz added that his brother-in-law Sarwar is in the list of rowdy-sheeters of the Langer House Police Station and has to sign the register at regular intervals. He had failed to do so after he was harassed by the police.
Following his failure to turn up at the police station, he was summoned. When he did not turn up, his wife was summoned and has been not allowed to leave. 'Even her children are not allowed to meet her,' Shahbaz said.
Prior to this, the relatives of the detained woman alleged that he and his mother were detained by Langer House Police for some time. Later, the police detained Saba, Shahbaz alleged.
