Police raid brothels, 8 held, 3 women rescued Hyderabad, May 8 (INN): Task Force Sleuth conducted raids on two brothel houses and apprehended three pimps, five customers and rescued three female sex workers and seized net cash of Rs.3,500/-, three cell phones and other incriminating materials from their possession.
According to Inspector Ch Y Srinivas Kumar, the accused persons were identified as Vithanala Kumara Swamy (23), Yatham Prathap (26) and Laxmi (32).
The accused persons procure good looking young female sex workers from different States through their agents by paying Rs 20,000 to 50,000 to participate in flesh trade. Later they contact some of the known customers and supplies to them by charging amounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to 10,000 by arranging all the facilities at the brothel house.
Late on Saturday night, two cases were booked under Panjagutta Police Station wherein two pimps along with three customers were apprehended and under Bowenpally Police Station apprehended one pimp and a customer.
From the two brothel house three female sex workers/victims were rescued. The accused along with seized materials were handed to respective Police Stations for taking necessary action under provisions of Prevention of Immortal Traffic Act.
