Pensioner accuses TREA chief of deceit Hyderabad, May 11 (INN): Retired government employees on Wednesday lashed out at Telangana Retired Employees Association president Jalaluddin, alleging that he had duped them in the name of providing land.
One of the pensioners G Rama Rao, alleged that Telangana Retired employees Central Association President Jalaluddin had collected Rs 500 from each pensioner, assuring them that he would provide land for needy and homeless pensioners.
'We individually gave Rs 500 to Mr Jalaluddin hoping to get a piece of land. We do not have homes of our own and live in rented houses. Taking advantage of this, Mr Jalaluddin had said that he would fight to get land for us from the government. He also collected Rs 500 from each of us,' Mr Rama Rao alleged.
'When nothing came about, we asked him to return our money, but he has not done so yet. We demand that he either carries out his promise or return us the money,' Mr Rama Rao added. He wanted to know where the collected amount has gone and when the land is going to be allotted.
