Notorious gangster held with weapons

Hyderabad, May 14 (INN): Task Force sleuths on Saturday apprehended a notorious gangster and seized three deadly weapons from him. According to Inspector S Mohan Kumar, Syed Najaf Ali (35), was arrested and a sword, hunting sickle and a button knife were seized from him.

Najaf revealed that he had been a member of a notorious gang, known as the 'Kala Yamaha Gang', which was involved in many offences. This gang had been a bitter rival of the Ayub Khan gang to gain supremacy in the crime world.

The Ayub Khan Gang managed to get the upper hand after killing two members of Najaf's gang, Abbas and Ahmed. The Ayub Khan Gang was supported by the gang of Mohammed Fayyaz in these murders. This led to deep grudges between Najaf and the Ayub Khan and Fayyaz Gangs and he planned to eliminate these gangs' members.

In 2004, Najaf had brought one fire-arm for execution of his plan, but was foiled by his arrest. The said rivalry developed as both gangs, interfered in one another illegal settlements in the fields of real-estate.

In January, Najaf along with his associates worked for Faisal Nawab and were involved in attempt to murder case in the limits of Saifabad Police Station in connection with the disputes of Sultan-ul-Loom Educational society. Faisal Nawab is alleged to have paid Najaf handsomely for carrying out that attack.

Najaf had also tried to attack Ayub Khan in court but had restrained himself on seeing the heavy police presence there. Four months ago, he was arrested by Task Force when he was found in possession of a firearm which he procured for eliminating the Gangster Fayyaz to weaken the Ayub. This time also he could not succeed in his plan.

Recently, when Syed Najaf was lodged in jail when he was arrested in the firearms case, he got contact in jail with a notorious gangster Khaiser, is his a rival of the Ayub Khan gang and recently murdered Ayub's relative Mohammed Fazal at Namapally Court area, Hyderabad.

During conversation Khaiser assured of support to Najaf in eliminating the Ayub Khan Gang and Fayyaz Gang as they were his enemies too. After his release from jail about two months back, Fayyaz and his gang-members approached Najaf and threatened him with dire consequences.

As such, Najaf decided to eliminate Fayyaz and his associates with the help of his present associates Jaffer and Mazhar Ali Rizvi and in execution of their plan he procured lethal weapons from one Hyder and kept with him in search of opportunity. The arrested accused is being handed over to SHO Shalibanda, Hyderabad for further investigation.
