Two killed as auto rams into bike Medak, May 15 (INN): At least two persons were killed on the spot while other four persons suffered minor injuries when an auto-rickshaw rammed into a motorcycle at Pragnapur Substation, Gajwel mandal in Medak district during the wee hours of Sunday.
According to Gajwel Sub-Inspector Ramesh Babu, the victims have been identified as Narashimhulu (35) and Raju (28), both residents of Tigul village, Jagadevpur mandal in Medak district.
Mr Ramesh Babu revealed that the mishap occurred when a speeding auto-rickshaw heading towards Tigul from Pragnapur rammed into an oncoming motorcycle. The auto-rickshaw driver is believed to have lost control over his vehicle.
The impact left both the persons on the motorcycle dead on the spot. The four passengers in the auto-rickshaw suffered minor injuries.
Police reached the spot on getting information and shifted the victims to a government hospital for autopsies. A case has been registered under Section 304 (A) IPC and the auto-rickshaw seized. A manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding auto-rickshaw driver.
